The 5th edition of the Giovanni Anania summer school on Evidence-based Policy Making will take place from 14th to 18th of July 2025 at the University of Calabria, Department of Economics, Statistics and Finance, Rende (CS), Italy.
The 5th edition is focused on quantitative models of the spatial distribution of economic activity to introduce students to spatial econometrics, geo-referenced approaches, and counterfactual methods of policies’ impact assessment. These techniques will be tailored to agricultural, environmental, development, and trade policy research topics.

The school was born to honor the memory of prof. Giovanni Anania and is organized by:

- The Research Centre for Agricultural Policies and Bioeconomy of the Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA).
- The University of Calabria.
