The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Centre for Economic and Social Research, Roma Tre University, have recently agreed on research and capacity building activities to support the programme for Monitoring and Analysing Food and Agricultural Policies (MAFAP).
MAFAP seeks to establish country owned and sustainable systems to monitor, analyse, and reform food and agricultural policies to enable more effective, efficient and inclusive policy frameworks in a growing number of developing and emerging economies
Rossi-Doria Centre’s research will focus on “The impact of food and agricultural policies on trade performance of Sub-Saharan Africa countries by product” and on “Analyzing the relationship between trade policies and backward and forward participation of the Sub-Saharan Africa countries’ to agriculture and food Global Value Chains”.
